Speaking to my older brother who is 81 about are father in the first world war
his name was Frank Freeman 4354/331655 he was in the KLR and during the Battle of Menin road Sep 20 1917 received a shrapnel wound to his Left leg.he was evacuated to England and on recovery transferd to the 8th (irish)
Battalion KLR.and discharged from the army 3rd April 1919.he receved British war medal and Victory medal and a Silver war Badge No B190146.My brother told me that father always regreted selling his pension back to the Army????
thats the question has anyone heard of this befor?how did it work?if its true
will his details be online at ancestry or will he(becouse he sold it back)be deamed not pensiond??Thank you for your attension.hope to hear from you soon.Edwardo.
