It is amazing and thinking that there are other film archives where such work would be great too. Such as some of the early films of UK cities and people leaving works or going on a day out.

To see the atrocious battle front and their face in colour are astounding
It was not "a black and white war", certainly not for those who were actually fighting it on the Western Front.

Amazing technology and skill to adjust the films movement and colour. Certainly brings home the horror and destruction to another level. And to add the sounds and thoughts of the soldiers through old voice recordings.

Well done Peter Jackson and his crew for bringing this to 'life', and making it 'real' for todays, and other generations.

Probably one of the best examples (if not the only one) of how to use modern technology for the benefit of the whole nation rather than for personal gain that I have heard of. Well done, Peter Jackson.
