What is your earliest childhood memory? Mine is 1983 or 1984 when my auntys house in Essex was being done up. I can remember being a tot and being held up by my mum as my aunty was discussing sands for the building. Later on having looked at pics of the renovations the dates said 1983.

I can vividly remember 1985 when I was at pre school.

1953 when we had a great storm on the south coast of england,my grandfather took me down to the sea front, and we watched the lighthouse fall down, from the damage done by the waves, all the small fishing boats were tossed on to the sea front. There was lots of damage from London right round the south coast, there were a few who lost there lifes, the damage to property was emence.

Earliest memory for me was being in a dark place, and all of a sudden there was a blinding light. I was hung upside down, and someone tapped my butt, and I cried.
The next thing I heard was ...."it's a boy", followed by a groan of disappointment from somewhere.

But seriously, it was being hooked up by my shorts, when I was about 4yrs old, as I had tried to climb over the garden gate and got stuck. It seemed like ages before I was freed.:)

My Earliest Memory that I can date is when we were on holiday in Wales in 1959 I remember standing at the gate of the cottage we were staying in and watching a real steam road roller ploughing up the road I had my fourth Birthday whilst we were in Wales that year.

Sitting in a highchair and getting stung and people panicking. Not sure how old I would be. Have a memory of a pleasanter time popping peas from the pod sitting on the step of my grandparents cottage when my grandad was gardener on an estate must have been about 3.
