Albert Stanley Jackson

[Jacko9]

Hi, I hope this is the correct place to post such a request.

I'm trying to locate a service number for a gentleman by the name Albert Stanley Jackson. Born 19 Feb 1918 in Stoke on Trent. I have found a newspaper clipping that he was missing during the war and returned in 1942. The article mentioned he was in service for about 2 years at the time but I can't seem to find anything on Ancestry, FMP or Fold3 - very odd... Is there anyone able to assist on this please?

Thanks in advance.

I'm fairly sure that the Second World War military records are not yet available. This link to the National Archives may help

Thank you for the link, I will have a look into it. It's a strange one as I've managed to find at least a service number for most people but nothing at all for this gentleman
