Hi Dave
I have just joined and hope I`m posting on correct forum...so hear goes.
I have information on Peter and Margaret`s son not mentioned on your thread called Alexander b.1856 d.1899 and buried at Scotts Creek, Mitchells Island. He is my gggf and I have visited the grave as I live in the area.After he died his brother John Boden Ritchie b.1863 d.1939( in the BDM his name is spelt RICHIE on his birth )married his widow Charlotte (nee Atkins) and they had more children.I know that when Peter and Margaret arrived here he helped clear land at Glenthorne as he is named in a local history...

G'day my Birth mother's maiden name was Catherine Alfreda Ritchie she was born 1914 in Linlithgow Scotland and Married at Bathurst New South Wales 1934 to Albert Alfred Freebody and I was born in Lithgow New South Wales 1945. She had six children with my father and they divorced in 1946 and she Married Gordon Taylor and had to further daughter's with him and passed in 1990 in Queensland, if I can help you I am happy to do so. I have trace my maternal line back to the early 500's and branches of my Paternal line back to well before the Battle of Hastings in 1066.
